Chairman Welcome

Message from Chairman

Healthy greetings

It is an honor for me to have the responsibility as chairman of Community and Family Health Care with Interprofessional Education (CFHC-IPE), which is one of the flagship programs of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Public Health, Gadjah Mada University (FK-KMK UGM). The program, which started in 2013, aims to provide students with experience in managing problems and practicing professional skills obtained from each study program directly in the community and being able to work together with different professions.

One of the keys to the sustainability of this IPE program is the principle of mutually beneficial collaboration for all stakeholders involved. So far, this program has succeeded in providing benefits to students who can learn to collaborate interprofessionally, lecturers can implement the tridharma, and families/assisted communities also benefit from this activity in the form of promotive and preventive programs implemented by the health student team. The regional government and the Sleman Regency health service in this program are also very grateful to CFHC IPE FKKMK UGM for providing real action in improving the quality of public health.

In the course of implementing this IPE program, of course many challenges were faced, including preparing a schedule of learning activities for students from 3 undergraduate study programs in Medicine, Nursing and Health Nutrition. The three study programs have different schedules each semester, thus bringing together the schedules of the three study programs at the same time. With good management from the professional and innovative CFHC-IPE managerial team, various challenges and obstacles can be overcome well.

Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Dean and Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs who always support us to be better, the year coordinator team, CFHC IPE assistants, supporting staff, Field Supervisors, Field Instructors, the Community Health Center in the Regency Sleman, the Village Head, cadres, families of partners involved and student assistants, as well as all parties that we cannot mention one by one who have made a big contribution to the success of this program.

Hopefully this program can continue to develop and provide great benefits to society.

Chairman CFHC-IPE

dr. Widyandana, MHPE, Ph.D., Sp.M(K)
