CFHC-IPE | FKKMK. Group dynamics training for the 2023 cohort are once again conducted in-person with the same Event Organizer (EO) as the previous year, namely Adicita Swara Publika (ASP). As a preparation for the committee and to align perceptions and learning objectives for CFHC-IPE semester 1, two coordination meetings were held. In the first meeting, ASP presented the technical plans, types of activities, and event details. Then, feedback, questions, and inputs were provided by the managerial team and KORTA 1. The second meeting took place before the orientation of dynamics with students. ASP presented the activities in detail according to the feedback from the previous meeting. Both meetings were conducted online via Zoom. This year, it was decided that the slogan for the group dynamics of the 2023 cohort would be “Synergy of Nawasena, synergizing for a bright future.”
As a notification and initial explanation regarding the group dynamics activity to the 2023 cohort students, KORTA 1 invited an explanation of the technical aspects of the activity by inviting the EO from the group dynamics. This activity was held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM local time via Zoom meeting. All students were required to attend this briefing, with the hope that no one would be confused during the group dynamics activity. Participants were given explanations regarding the timing, location, items to bring, prohibited items, dress code, and group assignments. Group assignments consisted of 10-12 students with the same Field Supervisor (DPL). In this session, students actively asked questions to both the EO team and KORTA 1.
On the day before the group dynamics activity, all committee members from both the EO and CFHC-IPE attended a technical briefing for the implementation of the group dynamics. This activity took place on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM local time in the classroom of Radiopoetro Building, 1st floor. The event began with an opening, explanation of the technical aspects of the group dynamics activity, Q&A session, and closing. In this activity, a team of 24 facilitators also attended, with the hope that on the actual day of the event, all aspects would be clear. It was conveyed that there would be 6 games for participants. Afterward, the committee toured the FK-KMK area to ensure the location of each game.
The group dynamics activity for the 2023 cohort lasted for 1 day with 2 sessions on Sunday, November 12, 2023, held in the FK-KMK UGM area. Session 1 was for groups 1-42 from 7:00 AM to 11:20 AM, and session 2 was for groups 43-84 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The objectives of the group dynamics activity were to enable group members to get to know each other, to train cooperation among students within and between groups, to build communication among students within and between groups, and to provide an understanding of interprofessional education (IPE) in each profession’s role.
Out of 488 students, 19 students did not participate in the activity, with reasons including sick leave for 7 students, faculty/university competition leave for 5 students, bereavement leave for 2 students, leave for other reasons for 1 student, and absence without notice for 4 students. The activity began with welcoming remarks from the managerial team and KORTA 1. Then, it was handed over to the EO team to lead the event. At the end of the event, the activity was concluded with the announcement of the best group winner.
